TDS Meters and Electrolysis does not tell you the whole truth. They can measure TDS or Total Dissolved Solids in the water but they can NOT measure or test for chemicals.

Try this out:

Materials needed: TDS meter, glass of water.

1. Put the meter in the water and read the TDS value. Take a note of the reading.
2. Add a drop or two of gasoline to the water. Or you can add a teaspoon, tablespoon or any amount that you like.
3. Put the meter again and read the TDS value again. As you notice the water with gasoline and without gasoline read the SAME. Incredible isn’t it?
4. Would you drink a glass of water with or with NO gasoline because the meter reads the same? You know the answer!

TDS Meters Not what you think.	What do you think will happen if you put a teaspoon of gasoline in the water? The TDS will read more, less or stay the same? TDS Meter does not read chemicals (like gasoline) in the water. It just reads TDS (Total Dissolved Solids, like sodium, potassium, etc) Things that a Gatorade has. What do you think will be the reading in a glass of Gatorade? (Gatorade is an awesome sport drink.)

What are electrolytes?

Chemically, electrolytes are substances that become ions in solution and acquire the capacity to conduct electricity. Electrolytes are present in the human body, and the balance of the electrolytes in our bodies is essential for normal function of our cells and our organs.
